By far the easiest finger snack I've ever come across because what do you mean I get to eat onion rings without going through the hassle of making onion rings???
Yeahhhhhh
What you'll need:
1 large onion
1/4 tsp black pepper
1tsp cornstarch
1 cup all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp chicken stock powder
1/4 tsp dried mixed herbs
1/2 tbsp sugar
2 eggs
- Cut off the top of your onion (don't cut the bottom) and peel it fully.
-Turn your onion upside down and cut like how you would cut a cake (but don't cut the bottom part)
-After cutting the onion, turn it back right side up and open up the petals slowly, be sure not to break them apart.
-Crack your eggs and spoon the eggs onto the onion as the egg batter.
-Combine all of your dried ingredients together in a bowl and then dump your egg covered onion into it. Cover it with the dry ingredients and then shake off any excess.
-Get your oil heated up and ready (enough oil to cover your onion)
-One your oil is ready, gently place your onion in, upside down for 5 minutes or longer if you wish.
-Flip it and fry it right side up for 2 minutes.
-YOU'RE DONEEEE
Dipping sauce;
1 tbsp kewpie Japanese mayo
1tbsp ketchup
-Mix together
